The Paperclip Tribe is a thriving community located in the sunny south of Spain, where people come together to live, learn and grow in freedom.
The Paperclip Tribe consists of two words: Paperclip and Tribe. Paperclip stands for letting everyone’s unique creativity grow without limits. Tribe refers to the timeless, wise principles of communal living.
We seamlessly blend ancient wisdom with modern knowledge and innovative ideas, offering a space where individuals can connect with nature, discover their true potential and contribute to a more sustainable future.
You can connect and share experiences at the fire pit, the swimming pool, the vegetable garden, through workshops, the music space and the theater area.

OUR SPACE
Our home is surrounded by open space, offering plenty of room to live and connect with nature. Next to our family home, we have a cozy guesthouse for families, friends, or couples.
Located in southern Spain, in Albuñol it’s a perfect place to relax and explore. The Alpujarras, with their white villages and green valleys, offer beautiful hiking trails and a rich cultural history.
Shared spaces include a fire pit, vegetable garden, and areas for workshops, music, and theater. The town, with restaurants and a supermarket, is within walking distance, making daily essentials easily accessible.
Just 10 minutes from the sea, an hour from Almería airport, 90 minutes from Málaga airport, the land enjoys sunshine, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere. For outdoor lovers, the Sierra Nevada—ideal for skiing and hiking—is just 1.5 hours away.
With great weather year-round, it’s the perfect place to slow down and connect. Come and experience The Paperclip Tribe!
DEVELOPMENT IN 3 PHASES
Building The tribe
Phase 1: Grounding 2025-2026
Laying the Foundation
Select and visit 3 potential locations. Live for one month in different regions to experience the energy and test the environment.
Complete the purchase process with realtors, banks (NL/ESP) and property owners.
Result: Purchase of the land and preparation for the next phase.
Phase 2: Growing 2026-2028
Growing the Paperclip Tribe
Set up and/or build the guesthouse, educational facilities. Create the fire pit, vegetable garden, yurt, tiny house, water/irrigation, electricity, camper/tent space and more.
Organize crowdfunding to support further growth.
Result: A fully functional tribe where like-minded people can stay temporarily or long-term.
Phase 3: Giving 2028-2030
Giving back and enrich the tribe
Organize workshops on ancient and recent crafts and wisdom, making music, musical instruments, honey production. Creating natural products (such as shampoo and toothpaste). Establish a product line of ecological products.
Result: A self-sustaining and inspiring place where visitors can learn, contribute and connect with nature and each other.

We are a family-driven team led by Marloes and Sander, united by a passion for holistic health, digital innovation and alternative learning. At The Paperclip Tribe, we’re building a legacy of authentic growth and freedom for future generations.
Meet Marloes
After leaving a corporate career for transformative travels, she now thrives on sunny Ibiza with her family—enjoying music, yoga, strength training and exploring local culinary gems. Most importantly, she embraces life as a mother to Era and Noa, creating a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle for herself and her family.
Our Family
Watching Era (5) and Noa (3) naturally master walking, speaking, swimming, and cycling—despite being born prematurely (Noa 12 weeks early, Era 10 weeks early)—deepened his belief in self-healing, self-direction and autonomy.
Together with Marloes, this journey into alternative learning and living led to the creation of The Paperclip Tribe—a legacy for their children and a commitment to a better world.
Meet Sander
Together with Marloes, he spent a transformative year living in a camper on Ibiza, organizing retreats that combined personal development and leadership.
Today, he is passionately building the Paperclip Tribe, creating a community alongside his children, like-minded individuals, and families.
